Steps 2

I used drawing paper with watercolor crayon, which I then wet, giving me the problem of warped paper. Is there paper that's smooth enough for crayon, but stiff enough to not warp when wet?

You get all kinds of different weights paper at any place that sells art supplies.

You might want to try "hot press" watercolor paper which is smooth - and 400 pound weight is quite stiff.

I'd second the reccomendation for hot press 300lb watercolor pape papert. Most good art shops in Manhattan have it.if feel like its worth it, buy a block.
