Red Curve

This was done as an experiment in space and contrasting colors, big blue space under a big red curve and small red lines on a yellow space.

Skyline At Night

This is roughly based on a skyline at night. It's more abstract than I had planned

Bleeding Blue Apple

I did this in art class, at the Art Lab, in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Staten Island, NY. It's mostly my work, but my teacher, Robert Sievert, showed me how to do the light and shadow. Done with acrylic paints on 9X12 canvas board

Rainbow Face

This was an experiment in detail. I don't have much patience. I normally get a picture done in about an hour. This time, I made myself take a lot of time on a lot of detail. Unfotrunately, it wasn't shot well due to my shaky hands. At 16X20, it was too large for my scanner. It was painted with acrylics.

Mushroom Trees

This was done with my usual markers and paper.
I like this piece because the scale is ambiguous. The color suggests trees or large bushes. but the shape suggests mushrooms or small bushes

Boots

This is one of my first drawings, many years old. Not bad, for a beginner

The Ball Player

This is an old drawing of mine, an early experiment done many years ago

Line Figure 2

Another old one from Mom's wall

I Love You

Another favorite from my mother's kitchen

Mom's Gargoyle

This Gargoyle is another old picture in my mother's collection. It's one of my favorites

Mom's collection 1

This picture is one of the oldest in my mother's collection

Disgusting

This picture is in my mother's kitchen. She bought it because it looks so disgusting.! Between the fish on a platter and the pheasant with the wing in the air, we find it quite shocking.

Strange Rainbow

One problem I have always had is a lack of patience. I usually finish a work in fifteen or twenty minutes. I know the best paintings are works you spend time creating and putting a lot of detail in. This is my first attempt to put in a lot of time and detail in. I spent about an hour on this piece
multiple acrylics on 9X12 canvas board.

Pin Stripes

Titanium white & mars black acrylic paint on 16X20 canvas board

White pinstripes on Black

part of new pin stripe collection.

1/18/13
Looking at it, a few months later, I'm not happy with it. Too much of a black board look

Albers Square 1

I didn't get the lines straight or centered but that doesn't matter. Josef Albers squares are displays of hues and tones.
