Big A

I'm not happy with this. It looks like bad graphitti. What do you think?

Broken Clock

I'm not pleased with this one. Many of the black strokes were made when I was a bit high strung, so they're not completely straight or evenly coated, but I am pleased with the concept, if not the accomplishment. What do you think? Am I too hard on myself?

Parantheses

This started out as an imitation of Anthropometrie (ANT 130), by Yves Klein, but I was unsure how to make the fluttery effect, so I made these parentheses.

Swaying trees

This picture is based on Purple Allium, by Avalisa. I called it Plants, but that's just a temporary name, until I can think of a good one. Suggestions?

My aunt says there's some movement in this, so I'm changing the name to Swaying Trees.

I'd like to learn more about movement. How did I get movement in this?

Helen Frankenthaler experiment

I tried to do my imitation of Frankenthaler. I started with a simple five circle design in thick, black acrylic, then applied very thin coats of red, yellow and black acrylic. Did it work?

Red Strokes On Blue & Blank Space

This was an experiment to see what a dried acrylic paint undercoat does to overcoats of paints. As expected, it darkened the red. Now I'm wondering if there can be an undercoat that can lighten it.

Incomplete

I decide to do a piece with my signature, so I did some experiments with color and came up with this. It strikes me as incomplete. Perhaps some texture or something else could be put in the blue field? What di you think?
