Stix

I like this piece because of its contrast of tones and hues. Though the orange strokes are just one of three hues, they stands out because of the brightness of their tone, as well as their vericle positioning.

Helen Frankenthaler experiment

I tried to do my imitation of Frankenthaler. I started with a simple five circle design in thick, black acrylic, then applied very thin coats of red, yellow and black acrylic. Did it work?

Red Strokes On Blue & Blank Space

This was an experiment to see what a dried acrylic paint undercoat does to overcoats of paints. As expected, it darkened the red. Now I'm wondering if there can be an undercoat that can lighten it.
