My Rothko 1

This image was painted with acrylic paints on a 18" X 24"  canvas board.

It was shot badly with too much light in one corner.

I never liked Rothko because,  toward the end of his life, he was so depressed that he killed himself and you can see this depression in his later work, but there's no denying his genius 

 

Imitation Mark Rothko, December 5, 2018

I was inspired by Mark Rothko's work and made a few imitations which you can see at

I did some research if him later, and, if you know Mark Rothko's work, you can see that his suicide was coming, so I decided to try another version of his style, Hopefully, a happier version, below:
